So much transpired my last four days in Sweden and, having been unable to record the happenings as they happened, I find myself (yet again) unable to express them, as I should like to.
I will summarize.
Ju and I took a train to
Copenhagen where we met with her friend Alessandria and Husband. We spent the
day at some supposed acclaimed Museum of Art—which was mostly an exhibit of
stone and sand and a small stream winding its way through four of the (limited)
rooms to express special awareness. After that I was shown The Christiana by
night. A sub-culture, drug-culture rebellion operating as it’s own functioning
city within Copenhagen. Several blocks and a park containing the run down
houses of the inhabitants, a day-care for children, cheap eats, and curtained
Marijuana booths—absolutely NO CAMERAS—green lit and dingy.
A spectacle really.
I ponder the politics of such
a place.
We stay over night at
Alessandria’s apartment.
The next day Ju and I explore
the City Center, hand-in-hand, and return home for a planned taco-feast at her
flat—an evening of friends, fun and good conversation.
Smooth.
The next day we rented a car
and she showed me the North, the peninsula and the forbidden, hidden art-city
of Nimis (look it up): some madman building labyrinthine structures of
driftwood and planks, nailed together into wooden tunnels ad walkways and
towers and turrets, in an obscure location beside the sea.
Truly bloody phenomenal.
One of the neatest places
I’ve ever been.
Unauthorized by the Swedish
government, dangerous as Hell, and gorgeous.
Wow.
Again, I’m simply catching
up. Consider this informative, at best; a record, a breadcrumb trail of words,
tracing my journey. I’d love to tell you more.
I’d love to go into detail
about my time spent with Juliana—her so-bright smile and eyes and gorgeous
heart. I’d love to tell you more about The Christiana, and Nimis, and the
people I met. Or Juliana’s large, lazy cat with the quaky mew.
How about more cathedrals and
castles?

—the kick-and-tell tales of a wonderer.
I had a great time in Sweden.

Glad you enjoyed my country! I haven't been to Nimis yet, but I've heard of it, wanted to go, and I might just have to make that happen within the near future! :)
